Southern Mill Welcomes W&A Engineering to Phase 2 of Development

Southern Mill is excited to announce W&A Engineering as our latest tenant to phase 2 of the historic development. The 47 person engineering firm will occupy 11,000 square feet in building D and expected to move in prior to January 1, 2020. W&A President, Jon Williams, stated that Southern Mill was an ideal fit for their new location. “We are proud to be part of a historic adaptive reuse project that has such historical significance to the Athens area. Southern Mill gave us the opportunity to design our future office space from the ground up which allowed us to incorporate several sustainable features that will benefit our employees and our community.”
W&A Engineering is a multidisciplinary firm specializing in Civil Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Traffic Engineering, and Economic Development. They began in 1999 as a one-man firm and have experienced major growth and now boast over 40 employees with two locations; Athens and Nashville, Tn. About Southern Mill
Southern Mill is a mixed-use adaptive reuse property located in Athens, Ga. It was originally built in 1902 as a manufacturing facility but now offers class A loft office space and retail space located in the Boulevard Historic District. The first phase of the 160,000 square foot facility houses the 35,000 square foot Creature Comforts Brewery at Southern Mill which was completed in 2017.
